Kilbreedy was the venue for the U21 B South Championship Hurling Final. The match was played in awful conditions but that didn’t stop either team. Dromin Athlacca Played with a very strong wind but it was Killacolla Gaels Who got off to the perfect start with a goal within two minutes scored by centre forward Dáire O’Driscoll. Six minutes later Killacolla Gaels were awarded a penalty after Dáire O’Driscoll Was Fouled. David Riordan stood up and made no mistake blasting the ball into the top right hand corner of the net. A minute later David Riordan scored an excellent point. Dromin Athlacca got there first point of the match on ten minutes from a free. Sam Cronolly, a David Riordan Free And Points From brothers Tommy and Sam Cronolly And another pointed free by David Riordan extended Killacolla Gaels lead.Dromin Athlacca replied with two points one from a 65 and another from a free. The last few minutes of the half saw Killacolla Gaels score two points, Sam Cronolly from play And Tommy Cronolly From Play Who was set up Brilliantly by Cathal Barrington. Dromin Athlacca ended the half with a point from a free. This left the half time score

Like the beginning of the first half the second half started with Killacolla Gaels on the attack. Dáire O’Driscoll pointed from play and a David Riordan Free And a point from play from Tommy Cronolly extended the lead. Dromin Athlacca replied with a pointed free. Four more points for Killacolla Gaels followed from the sticks of Sam Cronolly (1) and David Riordan (3) (1 free). It took Dromin Athlacca Forty three minutes to score there first point from play.
